CanopyChart

Every crew's week, on one board.

CanopyChart for firms with several crews.

Two climbing crews, a bucket truck, the stump grinder and the plant health care rig, six days, a crane on Thursday. The office sees all of it: who is where, what is done, what will not fit and what still has no date. The crews see their day and nothing else.

One flat price for the firm. Crew seats free. No contract.

Early access opens spring 2027. Any firm size can sign up.

The week of November 2 to 8. Two notes say visits were placed overnight on Friday and Saturday, each with an Undo. The open list holds ten jobs with no date, each with its address, customer and hours, and beside each a date, a time, a crew such as Crew 4 Bucket truck or Crew 6 Stumps and clearing, and a Schedule button.
The week: what plans owe and jobs with no date wait on the open list, each put on a day and a crew from its row. Upgrove Trees is an invented firm.

Six crews, named for what they carry.

Climbing, bucket truck, stumps and clearing, plant health care: each crew is a column on the day's board with its stops in order and the drive between them. Move a job between crews or days and the board redraws.

A column per crew per day
Each crew's stops in order with the minutes of driving between them. Open a stop for the job, the notes and the gate code.
Won't fit, by crew
The board says which crew has a stop that will not fit and which has hours free, at the top, before anyone leaves the yard.
Balance the week
Too much on the bucket truck's Thursday? Move two jobs to the second climbing crew. The drive times update.
Storm week
Calls come in as quick jobs onto whichever crew is free. A temporary crew for the week costs nothing extra: crew seats are free.
The board for Thursday, November 5: Crew 3, Climbing, with three stops left, 36 and 22 minutes of driving between them, the last one marked after 5:00 and a chip reading Crew 3, 1 won't fit; Crew 4, Bucket truck, with two stops and about 3:20 free.
Thursday's board for two of the crews: one has a stop that will not fit, the other has three hours free. The office sees both at once.

What has no date yet waits on the open list.

Signed proposals become jobs. A job with no date sits on the week's open list with its hours until the office puts it on a day and a crew. Nothing is forgotten in an inbox.

One open list for the firm
Every job without a date and every visit a plan still owes, with the hours each takes. Pick a day, a time and a crew from its row.
Plans keep making visits
Monthly tree care, lanternfly rounds, deep-root feeding: change a plan on a place and its visits change for whichever crew runs them.
Placed overnight, with Undo
Visits the plans owed are placed onto free days overnight. The week says what it did, and one click undoes it.

Every estimator's quote shows the same rate.

Two estimators, one line each, one price each. The firm sees the rate per man-hour each proposal implies, so a lump sum that would lose money is caught before it is signed.

Your rate per man-hour
Every proposal shows the rate per man-hour behind its price. The customer sees one price; the office sees whether the day pays.
Optional lines
Stump grinding, cabling, a fertilizer application: optional lines the customer accepts or declines on their phone before the crew is booked.
Price by the tree In development
Hours per tree from its size and how it comes down, times the firm's crew rate, plus a margin for surprises. Not in the app yet.

The office sees the firm. The crew sees the day.

Roles decide what each person sees. The office runs the board, the proposals and the money. A crew lead opens the app and gets today's stops and nothing to scroll past.

Office and crew roles
Owner, office and crew, each with their own screens. Add a crew in a minute.
Crew screens in Spanish
Part of early access: each crew member picks their own language. The office keeps working in English; the crew sees the day in Spanish, with the same stops and notes.
Check in, check out
One tap at the site on arrival, one on leaving. Time on site goes back into the quotes.
Hours from the taps In development
The taps add up to hours for payroll, and to how much of the week was driving, waiting or weather. Not in the app yet.

Customers get a page with your brand.

One page per customer with your logo, your colours and your phone number, opened from the link you send. Proposals to sign, invoices to pay, the trees and the work on each property.

Sign in with email or phone
Part of early access: a code to their email or phone, no password to forget, for a few hundred customers at once.
Pay the bill, sign the proposal
Open invoices with a pay button, by card or bank. Proposals with your terms, signed from a phone.
A website too
A hosted site at yourfirm.canopychart.com, or point your own domain at it, with your emergency number on every page. Requests land in your customer list with the parcel already on the map.

Books with the bookkeeper. Setup in a week.

Your bookkeeper keeps working in QuickBooks Online, and the firm is running on CanopyChart in the first week, not after a season of onboarding calls.

QuickBooks Online sync
Part of early access: customers, invoices and payments go to QuickBooks Online. Nothing is keyed in twice.
Customers imported free
Part of early access: we load your customers and properties from a spreadsheet or your old app in the first week, at no charge.
One flat price for the firm
No per-seat charges, so adding a crew costs nothing extra. Month to month. You see the price before you commit; pricing is not final and early-access firms hear it first.
The invoice list: a search box, filters for all 1,057, drafts, open 68, overdue 22 and paid 989, and rows of invoices with the number and issue date, the customer, the place, the status, the amount, what is owed and when it is due.
Invoices for the invented firm, two seasons' worth: 68 open, 22 overdue, each one filter away.

The trees, from lidar, next.

In development, and marked that way on the home page: trees found on each place from free public lidar with their height, crown and distance to the house, a map that leads with the trees, pricing by the tree, and a report link the owner keeps. Nothing of it is in the app yet.

Get early access.

CanopyChart opens to a small number of firms first, in spring 2027. Tell us who you are and how many crews you run, and we will write when your spot comes up.

Joining the list commits you to nothing. Early access starts with a trial, then month to month with no contract.
